Text and Video Instruction
Engineering Graphics Essentials 4th Ed. is specifically designed to be used in a one or two credit introduction to engineering graphics course. It gives students a basic understanding of how to create and read engineering drawings by presenting principles in a logical and easy to understand manner and by having students work through a series of exercises. It covers the main topics of engineering graphics as well as more advanced topics such as tolerancing and fasteners. Additionally, this text comes with a multimedia CD containing video exercises.
The text is designed to encourage students to interact with the instructor during lecture. It has many 'instructor led' and 'in class student' exercises that require student participation.

About the Independent Learning CD
Engineering Graphics Essentials 4th Ed. comes with an Independent learning CD. It allows the learner to go through the topics of the book independently. The main media content of the CD is html (web pages). It contains html pages that summarize the topics covered in the book. Each page has voice over content that simulates a lecture environment. There are also interactive examples that allow the learner to go through the Instructor led and In Class Student Exercise found in the book on their own. Video examples are included to supplement the learning process. If this book is being used independent and separate from a traditional classroom setting, there is a suggested curriculum including reading and problem assignments in the Preface. The solutions to the assigned problems may be found on the CD.
