Drawing a Cabinet Obique Pictorial
How do we draw an cabinet oblique pictorial?
Step 1) Draw the three construction lines that represent the oblique axes.
Step 2) Draw a defining box. The height and length of the box are drawn at full scale or equal to the maximum dimensions of the object. The depth of the box is drawn at half scale or half the maximum depth of the object.
Step 3) Draw the lines of the object that are parallel to the axes. Remember that the horizontal and vertical dimensions are full scale and the depth dimensions are drawn at half scale.
Step 4) Add the lines of the object that are not parallel to one of the axes. (Not needed in this case.)
Step 5) Add any circular features. For circular features parallel to the front plane, just draw full scale circles. For circular features that are not parallel to the front plane, draw a defining box. Remember that the depth dimension of the defining box is drawn at half scale.
Step 6) Erase or remove the construction lines.
