The rectangular plate is confined by rollers within slots at A and B.  When θ = 20o, point B is moving at vB = 10 m/s.  Determine the velocity of points C and D at this instant.  The dimensions of the plate are a = 100 mm and b = 50 mm.

 

 

Given:

  • θ = 20o
  • vB = 10 m/s
  • a = 0.1 m
  • b = 0.05 m

 

Find: vC, vD
