Plane Curvilinear Motion: Relative Motion - Example Problem 3.6-2

An aircraft carrier is traveling forward with a velocity of 60 km/h. At the instant shown, plane A has just taken off the end of the carrier and has a forward horizontal velocity of 250 km/h, measured from still water. If plane B is traveling along a different runway of the carrier in the direction shown at 200 km/h, with respect to the carrier deck, determine the velocity of plane A as seen by the pilot of plane B.

Find: vA/B
